A group of Psychology bachelor students are currently working on their thesis project: The experiences of Ph.D. students of colour* at the University of Groningen. Their goal is to examine the experiences of minorities during their PhD research and to raise awareness about diversity issues at our university.
As the Doughnut Party, we would like to help their research by reaching out the broader PhD community to facilitate the dialogue regarding the research topic.
Information about our project
The students aim to explore the experiences of Ph.D. students of color* at the University of Groningen through qualitative research, for which we’ll use semi-structured interviews. They would like to interview Ph.D. students about how they experience their research project, work environment, well-being and the collaboration with their supervisor. The interview will take about one hour and will be one on one.
Requirement: You are a Ph.D. student at the University of Groningen and have been for at least one year, or you have finished your Ph.D. less than one year ago.
You can contact them at [email protected].
You can find the Study Information Form (here), where they provide more detail about the project.
* Note: In our study we define people of color as anyone who isn’t white. However, we realize that this includes a wide range of cultures and ethnicities and that people of color are not a uniform group. We recognize that people may identify in a number of different ways.
We look forward to hearing from you!
